On Saturday Dec. 14, Harley Race’s World League Wrestling will be hosting its final event of 2019 aptly named Christmas Bash 2019. As we have done in the past, WLW will be hosting this event as a food drive. This is the fourth annual Bread for Life drive that the company has hosted and each year it has continually gotten bigger.

“Each year, starting back in 2015, we have ran this food drive because we feel the need to give to those who are in need,” WLW Wrestler Leland Race said. “The Bread for Life Food Pantry here in Troy is filled with great volunteers that have huge hearts. They literally volunteer their time to help others and expect/want nothing in return. To me, they’re the real superstars”.

WLW will be raffling off a free smart TV – an Amazon Fire TV – on that night. The way to get your chance of winning this television is to bring in five food items (canned food and dry cereal is being requested).  For each set of five items, you will receive a raffle ticket. There are no limits to the number of items you can bring/tickets you can receive.

On that night, fans attending the event can expect great professional wrestling action. One of the most talked-about topics in WLW at the moment is the Young Lions Tournament. This single-elimination tournament will feature six young wrestlers that are graduates of the Harley Race Wrestling Academy in Troy. The winner of this tournament will receive an opportunity to challenge for the WLW Heavyweight Championship. Two first-round matches set to take place that evening include Moses vs. Stephan Newton, and Rahim de la Suede vs. Colton Theron Vaught.

In addition to that, another WLW Young Lion will challenge for the WLW Jr. Heavyweight Championship as Sean Patrick will take on DaMarius Jones 2.0. This match comes as a direct result of their backstage brawl that took place at the last event.

More matches will be released before the event.

Tickets can be purchased online at wlwchristmasbash2019.eventbrite.com or by going to our Facebook event page where tickets can be purchased directly from there. Ticket prices are $12 for adults in advance and $5 for children ages 5 and under.

Tickets purchased at the door are $15 for adults, and $6 for children ages 5 and under.
