Zach Collins brings the ball into the end zone, putting the Trojans at 28 points over Roosevelt's 24.

Troy Buchanan's football team held Roosevelt at bay in a tense climax to the Trojan's first home game of the season on Aug. 30. The two teams traded the lead throughout the rain-soaked match, with a number of turnovers and interceptions making things exciting. With second left on the clock, Roosevelt was on the 1-yard line on fourth down with scores at 28 and 24 – Troy managed to keep them at bay long enough for the game to time out, for an exciting finisher.
