The Winfield Boys and Girls Track Team hosted the Winfield High School Early Invitational on March 22 – and took home several first-place finishes.
Austin Carson headlined the performances for the boys track team, winning first in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash, as well as the long jump.
Greg Penrod took first place in the shot put. Logan Trupiano, Coleman Croghan and Wade Ellison earned the top-three spots in the javelin throw for the Warriors.
Winfield’s boys also won the 4X200 relay completion.
On the girls side, sophomore Kade Berry earned first-place honors in the 3200-meter and 1600-meter runs. Freshman Kiley Kukan brought the Warriors a win in the 800-meter run, and senior Emily Wright earned first-place in the high jump.
