When Troy Buchanan quarterback Charos Sutton fumbled the ball away to Francis Howell in Vikings territory with under three minutes left, all the junior wanted was one more chance to rewrite his squad's destiny.

The Trojans' defense gave Sutton his wish, and he had 67 seconds and no time outs to move his team 44 yards for a game-winning TD.

Sixty-seven seconds was all Sutton would need, as he fired a 9-yard TD strike that Nathan Ryan made a diving catch to his right in the front of the end zone to shock the Vikings - and give the Trojans the Class 6 District 2 championship with a 23-21 victory Friday night.

Sutton, who finished with 248 total yards from scrimmage, told the Lincoln County Journal's Shawn Singleton, the win was sweet revenge for Francis Howell's controversial 41-38 win in Troy on Sept. 25, where a questionable pass interference call in the final 20 seconds led to a last-second win for the Vikings.
