Over the past couple years, Senior Basketball and Baseball stand-out Kaden Kinsler has been given the nickname “Mr. Elsberry” for his clutch play both on the baseball field and basketball court.
This weekend he added another accolade to his high school athletic career, 1000th point club. With his double-double performance against Canton on Saturday (16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals) Kinsler will now have his name added to the history books at Elsberry High School.
During his career he has averaged 6 points as a freshman, 17 points as a sophomore, 16 points as a junior and is currently averaging 16 points early on in his senior season.
“He does it at all 3 levels and his efficiency has continued to improve each year. His is a tough accomplishment but Kaden has put in the work and earned it, and we are all proud of him,” stated Coach Caleb Johnson.
Not only did he hit the milestone but he led his team to a 69-44 win on Saturday at Canton to get the Indians to a 2-1 record going into the Winfield Tournament.
Kinsler is seen holding a special 1000th point ball recognizing his milestone along side his coach for the last four seasons, Johnson.
