Troy, Mo. - Feb. 1 is a special day for high school athletes nationwide, for it is the first official day they can sign with colleges across the country, outside of the early signing period.

Troy Mo. – Recently the Flynn Drilling Drillers took two teams, a U11 2012 boys team and a U13 2010 boys team, to the St Louis Youth Soccer Association league to compete.

Elsberry High School Seniors Kaden Kinsler and Gavin Marshall recently signed their letters of intent to play college baseball. Kinsler will be playing at William Woods University and Marshall will be playing for Westminster College.

Winfield/Elsberry, Mo. - The Kirksville football team took control early Friday and did not relinquish that control, beating Winfield 59-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Class 4 District 5 Tournament. Kirksville improves to 6-4 with the win while Winfield ends the season at 3-7.

Winfield, Mo. - With a 5-2 loss to the Palmyra Panthers on Oct. 12, the Winfield Lady Warrior’s softball season has come to a disappointing conclusion. First-year head coach Nathan Bruns managed the team to a winning record, with the girls finishing 14-13 on the regular season.
