Winfield/Elsberry, Mo. - The Kirksville football team took control early Friday and did not relinquish that control, beating Winfield 59-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Class 4 District 5 Tournament. Kirksville improves to 6-4 with the win while Winfield ends the season at 3-7.

The 3-2 Troy Buchanan Trojans defeated the 5-0 Timberland Wolves on Sept. 30, 44-13. The Trojans were looking for a bounce-back game after a heart-wrenching loss just one week before against Francis Howell, and the Wolves were ready to keep their undefeated season going.
