Winfield High School sent two runners to the Nov. 9 state cross country competition, and both of them are freshman. They are Jessi Rudar, who finished 15 place all-district and Kade Berry, who finished eighth place all-district. Only one runner from Troy Buchanan High School qualified for the state competition as well. That runner is Brody Orf, who qualified after finishing 29 in the district race.
One lone Harrier, Josiah Heras, represented Elsberry High School at the state meet. Heras placed 13th at the district meet with his best time of 17:55, which was held this past Saturday in Bowling Green.
