Troy Buchanan’s annual basketball tournaments concluded this weekend, with the Lady Trojans taking the championship in an exciting matchup against Eureka High School, and the boys varsity team winning against Holt for the seventh-place slot.
Winfield’s boys and girls Tip Off Classic competitions finished up over the weekend, with the boys’ last game running adjacent Lutheran on Dec. 1. The Warriors beat Lutheran 60-53 for the seventh place spot.
The 31st Annual Pepsi-Cola Invitational girls basketball tournament and the boys’ 48th Annual People’s Bank and Trust tournament kick off this week at Troy Buchanan High School. The brackets for the first round of games are below.
