Silex/Elsberry Soccer team preview

Sixteen players will take the field for the Elsberry/Silex girls’ soccer team.  Senior players are Vivian Marx, Melody Hall, Brylie King, Caylyn Dowell, and Jenna Beckham.

Coaches Jason Burbridge and Caleb Johnson will be leading the team this year.  After graduating several seniors and a few players opting not to play this year, Burbridge is happy to have a good number on the varsity team. The returning players will be guiding the team this year.

Goals for the season will be similar to the other years Burbridge has coached, including learning better touches on the ball along with better kicking form and  field play.  

Burbridge sees the girls’ working harder each day and is looking forward to a competitive season.
