Penny Patient

Penny Sue Patient, 62, of Troy,MO, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 at SLU hospital in St.Louis. She was born on April 20, 1958 in St.Charles, MO to Paul E. and Penny (Pennington) Patient. Penny grew up with six siblings and knew what sharing and thinking of others meant.

After graduating from Troy Buchanan High School, she attended Sanford -Brown University in St. Louis. To help pay her way through college, she waited tables at Chums Restaurant. Her customers loved her kind and patient way. She also liked to play softball during her spare time. She was blessed with her daughter, Rheannon and helped raise her three step-sons: Michael, Shawn and Dennis. Penny loved and cherished each and everyone of her family members.

Surviving are her devoted mother, Penny Patient-Gibison; her children: Rheannon Patient and fiancé Brad Kelley; step-sons: Michael and wife Doris Boley, Shawn Boley and Dennis and wife Natalie Boley; her six step-grandchildren and one-on-the-way grandson, Michael Alan Kelley. She is further survived by her brothers: Dan (Jeri) Patient, Dave (Janet) Patient, Doug (Linda) Patient and sisters: Paula Patient, Patti (Pat) Galmiche, Peggy (David) Thompson; other relatives and friends.

Penny Sue was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Patient in 1980.

Visitation scheduled from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Troy.

Funeral service scheduled at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Troy. Officiating: Rev. Richie Rhea. Interment to follow in Friedens Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

Memorials may be made to: Rheannon Patient for her soon to-be child, Penny’s grandson, Michael Alan Kelley for schooling.
