Nicole Bender

Funeral services for Nicole Marie Bender, 38, of Moscow Mills, will  be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Burial will be in in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.

Nicole, 38, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 29, 2015 at her home.

Born April 21, 1977, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Curt Robert and Kimberly Ann Bick Faudi. She was united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2006 in Troy to Kenneth Aaron Bender.  Their home was blessed with two children: Paige Marie and Kenneth Aaron, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Aaron Bender of Moscow Mills; two children: Paige Cook and Kenneth Bender, Jr., both of Moscow Mills; and her mother, Kimberly Faudi-Dooley and her husband, James, of Winfield.  Nicole also leaves two brothers: Jeremy Charles Faudi and Jeffrey Curtis Faudi, both of Moscow Mills; her parent-in-laws, Pete and Charlotte Greene of Moscow Mills; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.

Juanita Menne

Juanita Rose Menne, 77, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1938, in Creve Coeur, a daughter of the late Seth and Helena (Brush) Fields.

Juanita graduated from Wentzville High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, Joe Menne in 1957 at the St. Paul Catholic Church and to this union seven sons were born. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Juanita was a homemaker and was always busy taking care of her husband and children’s needs.

Juanita would meet regularly with a group of ladies to quilt at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Although she taught her children and grandchildren to fish and enjoyed family fishing trips to Honeywell and the family farm, Juanita somehow managed to never clean a fish. She had a green thumb and her vegetable gardens were successful enough to raise her family. Juanita also grew a variety of beautiful flowers of which she was very knowledgeable. She had a passion for sewing, creating several costumes and dresses over the years. As busy as Juanita was, she always put her family first and loved them unconditionally.

She is survived by her seven sons, Kevin Menne and wife ,Vicky, of Troy, Dale Menne and wife, Sandy, of O’Fallon, Terry Menne and wife, Loretta, of Troy, Mike Menne and wife, Michele, of Troy, BJ Menne and wife, Janey, of Davis, Frank Menne and wife, Cassandra, of Australia and Chris Menne and wife, Kat, of Wentzville; two brothers, Jack Fields of St. Paul and Jerry Fields and wife Virginia of Fulton; one sister-in-law, Martha Fields of St. Paul; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Kemper-Millard-Keim Family Funeral Home/Troy Chapel Funeral mass will be  held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 458 Main St, Hawk Point. Officiating the mass will be Father John Keenoy. Interment will be held at the Mashek Cemetery.
