Nancee Marie Wallace, 87, was born August 17, 1934 in Chicago, IL. She was the daughter of Harley and Cecilia Winder. Nancee had nine siblings: Jacqueline, Shirley, Sally, Rose Mary, Raymond, Harley Joe, Daniel, Jerome and Douglas.

Nancee and her family moved to St. Louis , MO where she enjoyed an adventurous childhood exploring the many attractions the city had to offer. She then moved to Snow Hill Township where she met the love of her life, William Wallace. They were married on November 29, 1948 in Hardy, Arkansas. To this union, seven children were born: Tom, Gary, Wanda, Tina, Brenda, Clay and Angie.

Nancee was a creative and talented homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting and upholstering. She was an avid reader and extensively studied the Bible and other Christian literature.

In her younger years, she was a Sunday school teacher and a Vacation Bible School teacher , a Cub Scout den mother, 4-H Project Leader, PTA officer and a longtime member of the Snow Hill Women’s Extension Club and the Asbury United Methodist Church. Nancee was proud to be a wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to the love and care of her family. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, 19 grandchildren and their spouses, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Nancee was a woman of strong character and had a gracious and giving spirit. Her kindness and gentleness sprang from a faithful heart committed to the Lord.

Nancee went to her eternal home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She lived as she died; a Christian. Her funeral service will be Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Foley, MO. Pastor Larry Gallagher to offiicate.

Interment will be at the Asbury Cemetery following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Asbury Cemetery Fund or the Activities Department of the Elsberry Health Care Center .
