Monna Faye Mott

Monna Faye Mott, 87, of Winfield, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1934, in rural Moscow Mills to Alfred and Lydia (Kelly) Martin and grew up with her three siblings: Paul, Rolla “Buddy” and Norma Lee. Monna Faye attended Chantilly Country School and later graduated from Buchanan High School in 1952. At the age of 18, she married Kenneth Creech in 1952. To this union were born three children: Margie, Carol and Larry. Monna Faye was a talented little girl and at the age of only 11, she began playing piano at church. She continued playing for church services throughout her entire life. Monna Faye worked as a seamstress for the Gossard Garment Co. in Troy. With this experience, she was able to make wedding dresses for family and friends. Her family fondly remembers her delicious homemade donuts which she made at Easter and Halloween. Working in her flower gardens was very enjoyable for her. Monna Faye later worked at the Sheltered Workshop and loved working with the residents. As long as her health permitted, she was very active and played for services at the Moscow Mills Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed and long remembered by her family and many friends.

Surviving are her loving children: Margie Brown of Winfield, Larry (Vicki) Creech of Winfield; son-in-law: Rich Stone of Winfield; her brother: Paul (Carol) Martin; brother-in-law, Eldon (Barbara) Creech; sister-in-law, LaVerne Martin; her loving grandchildren: Jerrod (Sarah) Brown, Jason Brown, Jeanette (CJ) Walker, Karen Robb, Adam Creech, Carol (David) McRae, Matthew (April) Stone, Timothy (Kara) Stone, Sarah (Jeff) Mehrle, Caleb Stone, Hannah Stone and Deborah Stone. She is further survived by her adoring great-grandchildren: Jenae, Jordyn, Colby, Makenzie, Madie, Makayla, Isabella, Lydia, Savannah, Nathan, Malachi, Titus, Liam, Oliver, Molly, Aubrey, Lily, Kendrick and Wren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Monna Faye was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister, Norma Lee Creech and brother, Rolla Martin, her brother-in-law, Lawrence Creech; her daughter, Carol Stone; her grandsons, Jeremy Brown and Dennis Creech; and her son-in-law, Steve Brown.

Visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy and visitation from 9-10 a.m. at the Winfield First Baptist Church.

Funeral service scheduled at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Winfield First Baptist Church. Officiating: Rev. Dr. Ron Bullock and Rev. Fielding Poe. Serving as pallbearers: Jerrod Brown, Jason Brown, Matthew Stone, Timmy Stone, Caleb Stone, Adam Creech and honorary pallbearers: Sonny Creech and Eldon Creech.

Interment to follow in New Salem Cemetery, Winfield.
