Marvin Thomas Bueneman, 94, of Troy, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his home in Troy. He was born on October 18, 1924, in Troy, to Thomas and Margaret (Gerdemann) Bueneman, the youngest of 8 children. He married Millicent Marie Sofka on June 18, 1949, to this union two daughters were born; Janice and Karen. In 1976, Millicent passed away, and in December 1977, Marvin married Mildred Frances (Sievert) Bolle. Mildred’s children David, Sandy, Roger, and Denise became part of his family. Marvin was a farmer his entire life. He began his farming career using horses. Horses were always a part of his life. He collected horse drawn implements, tack & a variety of antiques. Marvin was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Troy, donating hogs for the annual sausage supper and providing copper kettles for making apple butter.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred Bueneman, two daughters: Janice and husband, Briggs Cragen, and Karen Bueneman ; two step-daughters, Sandy and husband, Keith Schnarre, and Denise and husband, Gerald Carter, and step-daughter-in-law, Julie (and the late Roger) Bolle; 7 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Millicent, his parents, Tom & Maggie Bueneman; his 7 siblings: Elihu (Mary), Ora (Helen), Julius (Garnetta), Walter (Eva), Alva (Ray) Dowell, Mabel (Harry) Schoeneck and Darline Bueneman; two step-sons; David Bolle, and Roger Bolle, and one step-daughter, Diane.
A visitation to be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.
A funeral service to also be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home in Troy. Pastor Eugene Rahmier to officiate.
Pallbearers to be: Pat Tobin, Dick Dowell, Michael Bolle, Velma Dunard, Sara Cragen and honorary pallbearer, Dennis Bueneman.
Private interment to follow in the Troy City Cemetery.
