Larry Ray Settles, 64, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on November 21, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the son of Ray E. and Phyllis (Wagoner) Settles.
Larry graduated from Fort Zumwalt High School in 1976. He worked for Permian Plastic as a Quality Manager for several years and most recently at Walmart in the Lawn and Gardening Department. Larry enjoyed watching anything on TV, especially sports and crime shows. He liked fishing and took pride in teaching his children to fish. Larry was witty, he was known for some of the best jokes. He was known for driving fast, listening to loud music, and running on “late Larry time.” Larry was a family man, who loved to spend time with them every chance he got. He was loving, he was a dad to many and would give you his last dime he had.
Larry is survived by his father, Ray E. Settles of O’Fallon, MO; five daughters and one son: Lindsey O’Hanlon (Jayson) of Troy, MO, Alyssa Donaldson of Troy, MO, Krista Tavenner (Jeremy) of Lorain, OH, Talicia Ajruloski (Mustafa “Mac”) of Troy, MO, Taylor Klein (Ashley) of Troy, MO and Sarah Klein (Rahnny Rahn) of Moscow Mills, MO; one sister, Sharon Aubuchon of Lake Saint Louis, MO; grandson Oli, and twelve other grandchildren, niece, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Settles, one son, Andy Spann, beloved friend, Corena “Kari” Donaldson and one brother-in-law, John Aubuchon.
Family and friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel, located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO.
