Joseph “Clark” Taylor

Joseph “Clark” Taylor, 71, of Troy, MO passed away on April 1, 2021 at SSM-DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on November 19,1949 in Kirksville, MO, to James J. and Barbara Ann (Drennan) Taylor. He graduated from Wentzville High School and then went on to get his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Mizzou. He was a kind teacher and administrator and had a gift for working with behavior disorder students. Clark enjoyed woodworking, antiquing and playing chess in his spare time.

He is survived by his children: daughter Becky and husband Scott Gauspohl of Wentzville, daughter Amy and husband Jim Bennett of Moscow Mills, son Nick and wife Dustie (Harris) Taylor of Foristell, grandchildren: Nic, Alex and Libby Gauspohl, Branden and Sammy Bennett, Ashton and Riley Taylor, his sister Jenny and husband John Tripses of Peoria, IL, nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

Clark was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Faith Ann Taylor.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
