Glenn W. Hagemeier, 81, of Lake St. Louis, formerly of Elsberry, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 19, 1938 in Glencoe to Fred H. and Esther (Queathem) Hagemeier. He attended the local schools with his siblings and graduated from Elsberry High School. Glenn was drafted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1961 to 1963 as a heavy vehicle driver and was honorably discharged. On February 3, 1967 Glenn and Rosemary (Smith) were united in marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Louisiana. To this union were born three children: Steven , Marsha and Joanna. Glenn worked very hard to support his family as a farmer and union carpenter. His days were long , but he never complained. Glenn was a devoted family man, his best days were spent with his beloved wife, Rosemary, children and grandchildren.  He never missed a sporting or school event they were in.  Glenn took great pride in caring for his home and yard.  He loved to entertain and bbq for family and friends.  You could always find him on the farm which he loved.  Over the years, he had several favorite dogs who rode the tractor with him and were at his side.  Shorty was his constant companion and lap dog.  Glenn and Rosemary were devoted members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. They enjoyed traveling once they were retired. Glenn will be sadly missed and long remembered as a caring, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who had a quiet sense of humor and was loved by all.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rosemary Hagemeier of Lake St. Louis, Steven (Kristin) Hagemeier of Troy, Marsha Elaine (Jeff) Wallace of Wentzville, Joanna Lynn Hagemeier of St. Louis, three grandchildren, Megan Rose Hagemeier, Tyler Glenn Hagemeier, Evan Wayne Wallace, one brother, Norvall (Roberta) Hagemeier , brother and sister-in-laws, Liddy Stark, Charles (Margaret) Smith, Betty Toumbs, Judy (Dale) Black, Carolyn (John) Schmidt, Bill Smith,nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Lester( Kathryn) Hagemeier , Marlin Hagemeier, his twin brother, Lynn (Linda) Hagemeier, Carl (Charlotte) Hagemeier, brothers-in-law, Ken Stark, Dave Toumbs and Glen Prater.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 8,2020 from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory 1304 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379.

Visitation was also held on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church -Elsberry 714 N. Lincoln St. Elsberry, MO 63343.
