George J. Vogt of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on November 25, 2019 at the age of 89. He was born May 3, 1930 in Portage De Sioux, MO. He is survived by his wife, Betty Vogt nee Siedentop; four children, Mike (Cheryl) Vogt, Jody (Walt) Schneider, Christine Vigil, Alan (Kathy) Vogt; two brothers, William (Viola) Vogt, Donald Vogt; two sisters, Emma (Bob) Billing, Margaret Burns; grandchildren, Brian, Tony, Steven, Jill, Jake, Matt, Ashley, A.J., Sean; great-grandchildren, Logan, Adele, Dylan, Jack, Sam, Luke, Quinn; He is preceded in death by his father, William Vogt, mother, Agnes Vogt, brothers, Brother Al Vogt, Larry Vogt, sisters, Mary Jane Alfred, Louise Peth, Irene Knoblaugh, brothers-in-law, Roy Alfred, Ray Arnold, Alfred Peth, Bob Burns, sister-in-law, Janet Vogt, son-in-law, Mark Vigil, grandson, Joe Schneider. George and Betty cherished 65 years of marriage together. He proudly served our country in the Korean War and was a full-time farmer. He was a devoted life-long Catholic and a Financial Secretary for Knights of Columbus in St. Paul, Missouri for 26 years. In his retirement, George was a volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry in Wentzville. In his spare time, George enjoyed playing pool, fishing and was a great Euchre player. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 83:00 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, Missouri .
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. atSt. Patrick Catholic Church, Wentzville, Missouri. Burial at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
