The St. Louis lawsuit against the National Football League and Stan Kroenke has reached an end.
An agreement was reached to settle the lawsuit for $790 million.
Frank Cusumano reported that a potential NFL expansion team was not a possibility. He took to Twitter to write:
“Told by a representative of an NFL team that there never was a chance for St. Louis to receive an expansion team as compensation. Never.”
The settlement means that the trial, which was set to begin on January 10, 2022, will be avoided.
The lawsuit was filed back in 2017 in response to the franchise’s relocation to Los Angeles.
