A pedestrian was fatally struck in front of Toyota Bodine on Cherry Blossom Way near Third St. on Thursday morning, Jan. 9.
According to Troy Police Department Detective Tony Stewart, the accident happened before 7:30 a.m., which is when his department got the call.
At the time of reporting, Stewart didn’t have information as to whether the struck pedestrian was an employee of Bodine or not.
After responding to the original call, the investigation was handed over to the Highway Patrol’s reconstruction team.
“As of right now, the streets are still shut down, due to the reconstruction investigation,” Stewart said.
He also said that the vehicle that had hit the pedestrian remained at the scene after the incident.
