Welcome to Elsberry Sign

After a special ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday afternoon, those traveling into Elsberry from the south will now be greeted with a beautiful new stone monument sign thanks to the Elsberry Community Betterment Association.  This welcoming creation was all possible due to Joe and Carla Talbot, ECGA members; Eric Lovelace, ECGA Board Member and numerous individuals who made monetary donations.

The campaign to collect donations started several weeks ago with the opportunity for individuals to purchase a letter on the sign for $100.  This unique chance allowed some families to purchase a letter representing their last name or even in memory of family members who had passed.  In a short amount of time every letter for “Welcome to Elsberry” was purchased, with some extra contributions. This campaign raised $1,800 toward the $6,000 cost of the sign.
