Alan and Deb Hartsock speak to the crowd ahead of the walk. Deb has early-onset Alzheimer’s, and Alan is her caretaker. During the walk participants carried flowers, with their different colors holding varied significance. Purple is someone who has lost someone to the disease, yellow is a caretaker, and blue is someone suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia.
