The Lincoln County Journal recently added two members to its staff.
Jenniffer Schipper and Natalie Harris join the team as advertising sales representatives, and both women look to learn as much as they can to be as successful as they can.
“I’m still learning the field of being an ad salesman, but it’s a good thing,” said Schipper, who joined the staff two months ago.
“The company’s been treating me well,” said Harris, an Elsberry native who joined the Journal on Aug. 10. “I can’t wait to get to work and learn new things.”
Before coming to the Journal, Harris served as a marketing agent for NorthStar Insurance Advisors in Wentzville, as well as selling car warranties for a short period.
“I believe I can bring more business to the Lincoln County Journal because I am a respectful person,” she said. “I feel I can be a great asset, not just to the Lincoln County Journal, but to the community as a whole.”
In addition to her new position with the Journal, Schipper is also president of the Warren County Fine Arts Council, which gives her an outlet to show off her creativity. Art and advertising are both areas where one has to think outside the box, and she said she feels she has the tools necessary to succeed.
“I want to be a successful professional,” she said. “I want to be in advertising again, which is what I have a college degree in.”
As Schipper is restarting her career, Harris is beginning hers - and said she sees the Lincoln County Journal as the perfect starting point for her.
“The LCJ has given me a chance to work with an amazing company, and build my career in sales,” she said. “I’m grateful for that - and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me and my future.”
