To kick off the 2021 New Year, the Moscow Mills Bicentennial Committee is hosting a scavenger hunt that will take visitors to each historic location in the city.
Each month of the year will highlight a historic place within Moscow Mills.
“Our goal is to get families to complete this hunt together and explore all of the historic sites,” said Tina Hunsel, Bicentennial Committee chairman, who is also a sixth-generation resident of Moscow Mills on both sides of her family.
Booklets for the scavenger hunt are available showing the history of Moscow Mills.
At each location there will be a sticker to put in your booklet to show you have found that spot. Once you have completed the scavenger hunt, there will be a box at city hall where you can drop off your finished booklet and it could be chosen for a prize at the end of the year.
“We want to give a special thank you to the Boys Scout group for creating the mill boxes for each location, as well as the Moscow Mills Lumber for sponsoring us,” Hunsel said.

The booklet will also be available for download on lincolnnewsnow.com as a link.
