Former Lincoln County Fair Queen, Chloe Momphard, represented the Lincoln County well at the Missouri State Fair this week, taking the title of 2019 Missouri State Fair Queen. The 2018 Troy Buchanan High School graduate is only the second young lady from Troy or Lincoln County to win this prestigious title, after Cheri Winchester (Thornhill) won the title in 1998.
"I'm extremely grateful to have the opportunity to run for Missouri State Fair Queen, and to feel the support that Lincoln County has provided as well is pretty amazing," Momphard said. "I'm just glad I'm able to represent them, and hopefully represent them well."
Momphard competed against 44 other girls over the course of the pageant and not only won the title of State Fair Queen but also won Best Interview, Best Speech and Best Evening Gown.
"It's an extremely competitive pageant as well, there were 45 girls running," Momphard said.
Momphard will serve as ambassador for agriculture over the course of the State Fair, which kicked off on Thursday, Aug. 8 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 18.
"Being able to serve as queen is quite the unbelievable honor," Momphard said.
