Recently, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a business burglary along the 100 block of 2nd Street, in Elsberry. According to a business representative, they noticed their Stihl Backpack Leaf Blower was stolen.
Detectives learned, an officer with Elsberry Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Dec. 7, with 30-year-old Timothy Golden, of Elsberry, as the occupant. The officer noticed a Stihl Backpack Leaf Blower sitting on the rear passenger seat.
Golden was arrested by Elsberry Police Department and during the search of the vehicle, an employee from the business noticed the Stihl Backpack Leaf Blower sitting next to the vehicle and reported it to his supervisor.
Investigators and the victim responded to the local tow lot where the vehicle was sitting and positively identified the stolen Stihl Backpack Leaf Blower.
During an interview with Golden, he admitted to being in possession of the stolen leaf blower.
Prosecutors charged Golden with Stealing and Driving While Revoked. Honorable Judge Gregory Allsberry set bond at $10,000 cash only. Other conditions of bond may apply.
