Very seldom does a person spend a 42 year career in a small rural town, but because of the great community that Elsberry is, Dr. Gregory Casalone is that unique person.
This past week Casalone officially sold his practice to long time Troy dentist, Dr. Kevin Harrell and has started his retirement chapter of life. Wasting no time, he and his wife Donna, have already hit the road traveling the country.
Being that long in one place grows on you. Casalone shared that he is going to miss the people of this community the most.
“In many cases I have served four and five generations of a family. I have seen young children grow up to be adults. You get to a point where you are part of the family and it is a wonderful feeling,” he said.
Even though employee Jennifer Hunter has only worked for Casalone for four and a half years of his 42 year stint she raves about her former employer,
“He has touched so many lives in his time here and I could not be more proud to have been a small part of his career. Family comes first, is something he lives by and the girls and I heard it often. At the end of the day, he is our family and we wish him the best of luck,” she said.
When asked what he wanted to say to the community as he leaves this chapter in life, Casalone said, “Tell the community, thank you, for trusting me to take care of your dental needs and it has been an honor and privilege.”
