For many, young and old alike, these unprecedented times are weighing heavily on their minds.

Recently, young Easton Conner has found refuge in a new little friend, a Mallard Duck named Charlie.

Conner’s grandfather, Alan Lagemann, was brush hogging and came upon a nest of ducks. Unfortunately,  only one baby survived and fortunately, the lone survivor took to Conner.

According to Conner’s Mom Kelsi, the two are inseparable. They play together, read together and even nap together.

When asked what his favorite things to do with Charlie were, Easton said, “take him to play in a mud puddle in the backyard and watch him follow me around the yard.”
