Broadway Street in Elsberry is revitalizing one store front at a time.
Soon the Elsberry community will have its very own coffee shop, P.S. Time For Coffee. The family owned coffee shop is a welcome business to the area with the growth of specialty coffees on the rise across the world.
Owner, Shelly Klen-Richardson, is looking forward to serving the area. Besides beverages, the menu will include soup, salads, and sandwiches. The decor will include rustic barrels with wood tops, relaxing sofas and an area for children.
Klen-Richardson has always dreamed of owning her own business, and what better than a great tasting specially coffee shop where people can gather for a meeting or a place to study.
When asked how she came up with the name, she replied, “My favorite movie is PS I love you, so what better than to change it up to coffee.¨”
She and Stephen Speisen, owner of YAS Renovation are working feverishly to get everything in order so that they can open, but they both have other commitments, so they work as they can. The goal at this point is to try and open later in May.
“We have received very positive feedback from the community, and they are anxiously awaiting our opening,” Klen-Richardson said.
