Zion Kids and Teens from Zion United Church of Christ in Troy, presented socks and underwear to Dr. Amy Porter, Director of Bright Futures for the Lincoln County R-III School District. These gifts are from Zion Kids and Teens’ “Bethlehem Market Place,” held on Dec. 22, 2019. That night, as the congregation wound their way through the marketplace of bakers, weavers, potters, and brass merchants, finally ending up at the Inn, they left gifts of money and goods. These gifts included the clothing items gifted to Bright Futures. Additional items were distributed to Every Child’s Hope and Zion Church’s window fund. Health kits for the homeless were also donated. This is part of the Kids and Teens focus on being members of Zion’s Christian Faith Community.
