The annual free Christmas Day dinner was held at Zadock’s Restaurant, providing over 750 meals to people in the county. Of those, 400 were served in-restaurant, with event organizer Ralph Coose saying it was the largest group the dinner has ever served. “Each year, this just gets bigger and bigger,” Coose said. The dinner was held in memory of former Lincoln County Journal Managing Editor Bob Simmons, who passed away in the fall of 2018. Above are volunteers that helped out Christmas Day, as well as Simmons’ family.
