Mercy Hospital Lincoln will host a two-day hands-on science and health summer day camp for students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades; aimed to spark an interest in healthcare and science prior to high school coursework.
Camp instructors include health professionals, health educators and faculty from area high schools and colleges.
Students participate in a variety of activities including chemistry/biology labs, dissection labs, Emergency Medical Service demonstrations, hospital tours and other healthcare career activities
The event runs July 22-23 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Mercy Hospital Lincoln. Cost is $45, which includes meals, activities and a t-shirt.
