If you want to learn more about constructing fence for various livestock types you will want to attend the Fencing School on Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tammy and Dave Teeter farm, 111 Two-Mile Branch Road near Montgomery City, Missouri.
The USDA/SWCD offices of Montgomery, Warren, Lincoln, Pike along MFA will be sponsoring the school with local representatives from Gallagher and Stay-Tuff Fencing.
There will be a demo on installing different types of fence as well as accessories. Staff from NRCS/SWCD will be available to discuss grazing opportunities/programs available through the USDA office.
Missouri Department of Conservation and University Extension will be on hand to discuss the benefits of Management Grazing systems. Rick Robnett, Livestock Specialist with MFA, will talk about materials they have and any current specials they have for grazers.
