Troy FFA Livestock Eval Team

Troy, Mo. - The Troy FFA Chapter won the livestock career development event at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention in Sedalia. There were 25 teams in the competition.

The team members include Tate Bruns, Bailey Shields, Aiden Hoyt and Jordan Shields. Bruns was named top individual in the state, Shields placed fifth, Hoyt placed tenth and Shields placed 14th out of 88 participants. The Troy FFA advisors are Rob Calvin, Matt McCrory and Elizabeth Utterback.

Participants in the contest evaluate beef, sheep and swine using performance records and physical appraisals. The team members present oral reasons on three of six classes they judged to defend and explain the placing of the class.
