Troy, Mo. - Making this summer extra special for your children is as easy as a visit to Powell Memorial Library.
Reading is recognized as one of the most important contributing factors to a child’s success. Good readers become good students. Children who are read to regularly become better readers and develop a love of learning that lasts a life time.
Our summer reading program will be offered at Powell Memorial Library. The program runs from June 14 - July 30. Prizes are awarded.
Twenty hours or 20 books is the maximum for completing this program. Upon completion your child will receive a free book of their choice. You can register for the program anytime beginning June 14.
We will also be offering a MOMMY & ME story time for Preschoolers. It is a program designed to promote the early reading concept to preschoolers. This program will be at Bonfils Auditorium (stage area) on Wednesdays starting June 23 - July 28 at 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
