The 11th Annual Fall Classic MYSSA Shoot was held on Saturday at the MIssouri Trapshooters Association Range at Linn Creek Trap shooters from across the state attended, competing in the following categories: middle school teams, high school teams, FFA teams and collegiate teams. Silex and Elsberry FFA teams fared well in their category.
Silex: The Silex A team continued their winning streak at state by capturing the title for the fifth straight year shooting 478/500. Team member Kelan Kinion was awarded a medal for second high individual for shooting 99/100 and Hayden Miller received a medal for fourth high individual by shooting a 98/100. Middle School shooter Jake Henry received third high individual in his category by shooting a 97/100.
Elsberry: Elsberry Ladies team captured the first place trophy in their division after shooting 397/500 over two other northeast teams, Community R-6 and Paris. Also earning a trophy for Elsberry was the A team who notched second place with a 473/500, behind Silex. Brystal Jones received a second place medal for runner up individual in the Ladies Division shooting 97/100. Also, being acknowledged for some great shooting were Brady Hubbard and Lillie Jones, who shot their first 50 straight and 25 straight, respectively.
