Ready or not a new school year is here and so are three new editions.
As Elsberry Schools will begin classes on Monday, Aug. 19, Hankins Construction Company, general contractor for the Elsberry Schools upgrades scheduled this summer are putting the finishing touches on the entrances and new offices for when classes resume.
One change to the entrances is that visitors to the school will not have access to the building without going through an office. An even bigger change was the new construction of an entrance to the Middle School Office, prior to the construction the only way to the middle school office was through the elementary or high school doors.
Even after school begins there will still be items that will need to be completed by the contractor, but it will not interfere with the school day. Areas still needing to be completed will be the concession stand, the superintendent’s office, and one of the newly tiled floors will need to be re-done at a later date.
