Lincoln County, Mo. - Lincoln County Soil & Water Conservation District recently announced the winners of their annual Poster Contest.  

The theme for this year’s poster contest was “Healthy Forests=Healthy Communities”.  

Each year a new topic on conservation is chosen covering issues from trees to water to soil.  

First place winners in each class received $10.  The overall winners for the county received $50, $25 and $10 additionally.  

The first place overall winner, Hayden DuBois of Winfield Elementary, will have his poster go on to compete against fourth through sixth graders at the state level. 

Second place overall was Sierra Burkemper of Silex Elementary and third place overall winner was Tessa Goodlet of William Cappel Elementary.
