What’s better than fresh produce picked right from the garden? Nothing, actually.

In front of the new produce stand in Elsberry are (l to r) Liz Foulon, Toni Lozano, (both employees), Kellie and Randy Shaffer.

Randy and Kelli Shaffer opened Green Thumb Market at 318 Broadway in mid-June to provide fresh produce items to Elsberry and the surrounding area people.  In the off season plans are to make a resale shop inside the building, which will  include clothes and collectables.

Kelli is no stranger to hard work with great outcomes.  She has worked the last several years with her father in High Hill running a successful business.  Since the Shaffer’s now reside in Elsberry and no business like this is available in the area, what better place to open another location.

“We are very excited to start our business here in Elsberry, and look forward to meeting the community,” said The Shaffer’s.

Hours for the Green Thumb include being  open daily, except for Tuesday and Friday when they are closed to pick fresh stock for the produce stand.
