Due to the flooding in Winfield, the city has been forced to push their Celebrate Independence event back to September 21.
Winfield Mayor Ryan Ruckel said that the annual event is one of the biggest fireworks display in Lincoln County, and the one planned for September will be just as big as ever.
The event will be held at the Winfield Fairgrounds.
One place to celebrate this Fourth of July is at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, at 1 Fairgrounds Road in Troy.
The Troy Rotary will be putting on the event, which is from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, and fireworks will start at dark. There will be food vendors at the park.
This event is made possible by the generosity of business owners, organizations and community members, so if interested in donating to the event, reach out to the Rotary or donate through Venmo at @rotarytroy.
