The Greater Troy MInisterial Alliance is once again sponsoring it’s annual “Way of the Cross” - Good Friday observance, on April 2 for the entire community.
The event, cancelled last year due to COVID-19, will start at Troy Flooring on Main Street, with prayer and an opening song, those who gather will depart the parking lot at 5:30 p.m. to walk the streets of Troy on a designated route, stopping along the way at various intervals for song and scripture, all depicting the final hours of our Lord Jesus Christ’s life.
Led by the Troy Police Department, gatherers will follow a wooden cross held by a variety of walkers. Readers generally include local clergy, as well as lay leaders, while song leaders will be from Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Thornhill Auction will provide an auction truck that enables microphone and stage for song leading.
Those wanting to participate are asked to park in the downtown area - the walk takes approximately an hour and a half.
For questions, call 636-528-7322. In case of inclement weather, the “Way of the Cross” will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy.
