Among the many exciting events taking place in local counties, an exciting new celebration is in the planning stages for Friday, Dec. 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 pm.
“Light Up the Night” in Eolia will offer a light-hearted opportunity to usher in the 2020 Christmas season.
Visitors will enjoy the village wide light “switch-on” at 5 p,m, when Eolia’s churches, businesses and residences flick their lights on to brighten the end-of-day darkness.
The fun continues for attendees who take part in any or all of the events. A “My Wish” Christmas tree will take center stage in the Community Park, where folks can add personalized ornaments as decorations. Christmas carolers will begin circulating in town at 7:30 p.m. and anyone interested in spreading cheer can join the group.
Participating businesses will welcome guests who stop by and perhaps win free merchandise such as gift certificates, cards, or baskets. Food and hot beverages will also be available.
To learn more about the holiday happiness that awaits those who attend, contact Debbie Reading 573-485-7020, or take a look at the Light Up the Night Eolia facebook page.
CoVid restrictions will be in place with masks being worn and social distancing observed. Visitors are asked to bring their own masks.
