It is that time of year again when every Saturday the Tractor Supply parking lot in Troy is buzzing with the sounds of animals and the vibrant colors of fresh produce.
On Oct. 10 from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m., the Lincoln County Farmers Market will be hosting the annual Customer Appreciation Day at 170 Market Place Drive.
This will be their fourth year hosting this event as a thank you to the community. To kick off the day, they will have breakfast for shoppers as well as a free hot dog and drink for lunch between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Farmers Market offers products such as local honey, home grown produce, fresh eggs, baked goods, jams, jellies, mums, goat milk soap and lotion. These quality goods and other unique items are offered weekly by 10-20 plus vendors.
“I am enthusiastic about making sure the customers’ needs are tended to,” said Wanda Gleason, who is charge of prioritizing the event.
She also shared that shoppers have the opportunity to tap into the expertise of the vendors by receiving tips on their products such as how to care for the livestock or how to properly raise mums.
“Come out on Oct. 10 with family and friends to enjoy this great event,” Gleason said.
