As part of its long-term strategy to identify and smooth out burs impeding business growth in the local area, the Troy Chamber of Commerce recently held an economic development summit with local business owners.

Troy Buchanan High School lost three students over the summer to car accidents on two separate occasions. The most recent of these, which occurred just before the start of school, took the lives of Brayden Hood and Mario Montalvo. Hunter Thorp was killed earlier in June. 

Early last week, Troy lost two of its own in a car crash on Highway 47 – a tragic and sudden accident that only added to an already sad summer for the community.  Read more
